Emergency Power You Can Carry

Imagine there is an EMP and all electrical equipment is dead, toasted by a surge of power from a nuclear blast in space or from a blast from the sun. Do you have backup power? Perhaps you stored your radios and GPS and night vision and such in protective containers, like metal garbage cans, filing cabinets or cookie tins, but there is no power. How will you use and recharge them?

That's why I made the Solar Compact Generator, to power all MY gear in an emergency. I planned to produce an instructional DVD so others can make their own, but I am busy building my house in the desert, so it will have to wait. But some people believe that there is no time to wait - they are preparing for hard times and that could be soon. Now, I've got a house to build, and I'm alone, so it takes all of my time. But I understand that many people are unable to build their own emergency power units, so I have decided to help them... by building some.
